Cam Goodwin, CFP ®, CPFA
Chief Operating Officer & Managing Partner
Prior to co-founding HawsGoodwin Financial, Cam served in Merrill Lynch’s Global Private Client Group, where he worked directly with affluent clients, corporate executives, business owners and institutions in virtually every aspect of investment strategy and planning.
Cam began his career with Independence Trust, a privately held trust company based in Franklin, Tennessee. As Vice President of Investments, Cam provided oversight to the firm’s investment management department and was responsible for more than $400 million in client assets. His equity research reports and commentary have been published by Motley Fool, an international media company with a financial reporting editorial focus.
Cam received a B.S. in Finance from The University of Mississippi, a Certificate in Financial Planning from Belmont University in Nashville, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. In 2016, Cam received the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) credential from the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA.) The CPFA credential was developed by some of the nation’s leading advisors and retirement plan experts and demonstrates the recipient advisor’s knowledge, expertise and commitment to working with retirement plans. Plan advisors who earn their CPFA obtain the expertise required to act as a plan fiduciary or help plan fiduciaries manage their roles and responsibilities.
On a personal note:
Cam and his wife, Beth, are both native to Franklin, Tennessee and have seen all of the growth that this great town has experienced over the years first hand. They love going on family adventures and vacations with their daughter, Gracey and are active members of Grace Chapel church in Leipers Fork. Cam’s favorite activities are golf, hunting, and simply being outdoors.
